<itunes:subtitle>An expository message on Luke 9:57-10:2 teaching how missions needs to be a key part of a local church's mission statement and philosophy. </itunes:subtitle>
<description>Missions was part of the church from day one. We might think it starts with Acts 2, but really it started with the waiting upon the Lord in Acts 1. The Book of Acts is so mission oriented that we cannot ignore it. True, people and churches avoid studying the book because they do not like its aggressive and style of expansion, but this does not change its message: The Holy Spirit is working in His people to bring the Gospel to the ends of the world. There is no barrier so high, no government so difficult or religious group so zealous that can hold back the process of the Gospel. Let us now look at this passage and discover four ways through a slice in Jesus’ life how we can be more ready for missions.
A) Preparation of our Heart (Luke 9:57-62)
B) The Involvement of our Lives (Luke 10:1)
C) Development of mission worldview (Luke 10:2a)
D) Prayer for kingdom expansion (Luke 10:2b)</description>
<itunes:summary>Missions was part of the church from day one. We even see it in the life of Jesus in the Gospel of Luke. There we find a mission worldview and ways we are to carry it out in our lives. </itunes:summary>
