Pray BFF#50                                                                            October 16, 2003

Dear Prayer Team,

Shaped by Priorities

Prayer to focus on major tasks and not get side-tracked is a regular prayer need. Editing and organizing use up alot of time. The Parenting Seminar, for example, is being updated and therefore has 'stolen' time from other projects. For example, Paul is working to bring the Chinese translation into web format. This requires numerous time-occupying tasks.

We are amazed to see how much the Lord has done in the last 2 1/2 years. Because of the volume, however, producing the Library of BFF material is tedious. The first Library still hasn't been burned so creating one that many can use and want to pass around is demanding. We would like to add an introductory video clip, but that might need to wait.

Despite our humble existence, we are grateful that the Lord sees fit to bring blessings to others through BFF. Last month we had our highest reading with 27,000+ page views. Our original goal for this year was to reach 30,000 (1,000 per day), but because of high increase early on, we doubled it to 60,000. Let us keep praying for 2,000 page views every day.

Special project!

Paul has been asked to serve on "The Next Step" team for a large mission's conference. This parallels his great interest in the development, training and processing of workers into fulltime service. Many people commit themselves to full-time ministry but never actually get there. "The Next Step" will provide the necessary support and guidance they need to take the next step toward full-time service. We praise God for the many fruitful ideas already shared.

We need your prayers!

Thanks to God!

Requests to God

We are thankful that the Parenting class has grown to over 26 families. We are trying to keep up on praying for them all!

Paul felt like Job. Rejected (Augh! It's ugly). Thankfully the poison oak is gone!

Thankful for the slideshow on church planting developed and presented for missions Sunday School. This was from our reflections of our service in Taiwan. It also doubled for use in celebrating OMF'S 50 year anniversary in Taiwan.

Thank the Lord for safe late night driving to Philadelphia for a meeting.

People are being touched by God through the preaching and teaching opportunities Paul has had.

Thank the Lord that Elizabeth's asthma is under control. Health has been good for all.

Teaching the Biblical Principles for Parenting series is a challenge. English is a second language for many. The children of the parents range in age from 3 months to 16 years. Pray for God to change their hearts.

BFF's financial support is extremely low. Ask the Lord for support.

Pray for God's Spirit to raise up leaders out of the Training School in India where BFF materials are being used.

Paul will be preaching several times in the next few weeks.

Ask God to use BFF materials to raise up 100,000 godly leaders to stand firm against the mounting tide of wickedness in the world.

The "Next Step" team needs to develop a lot of training materials.
