The Godly Man: When God Touches a Man’s Life
A godly man lives in God’s presence. Step by step, he lets go of his sins and draws closer to God. He learns spiritual disciplines and begins to apply them to his life. Living in God’s presence softens his dullness as he continually seeks to be nearer to God.
These ten lessons bring together twenty video teachings, the book The Godly Man: When God Touches a Man’s Life, lesson handouts, and ten five-question quizzes. The course follows the established online video series while grouping two related videos into each main lesson.

Course Lessons
10 main lessons · 2 videos each
Lesson 1
Pure in Heart
God evaluates the heart, not outward appearance. These two studies ask what it means to have an undivided heart that is fully devoted to God and how God purifies the motives and loyalties hidden within us.
Videos: GM01 God’s Heart Examination · GM02 Purity: Pure in Heart
Reading: Obtaining a Pure Heart
Lesson 2
Humility
Humility is not pretending to be small. It is accepting ourselves honestly before God and deliberately stepping down from pride so His holy work can reshape us.
Videos: GM03 Stepping Down to Humility · GM04 The Secret of Humility
Reading: Humble Not Proud
Lesson 3
Faith and Faithfulness
Faith rests on the faithfulness of God. As we learn to trust what is invisible because God is reliable, faith begins to produce a life of faithfulness.
Videos: GM05 Following the Invisible God · GM06 Faith’s Significance
Reading: Faith and Faithfulness
Lesson 4
Grace and Graciousness
Grace brings God’s goodness to those who do not deserve it. Receiving His grace changes how we forgive, serve, respond to difficulty, and extend kindness to others.
Videos: GM07 Grace and Graciousness · GM08 Enjoy God’s Grace
Reading: Grace and Graciousness
Lesson 5
Truth and Truthfulness
Truth is essential to godliness. God’s truth exposes deception, gives integrity to our relationships, and supplies the reliable foundation on which a stable life can be built.
Videos: GM09 Truth, Not Deception · GM10 The Power of Truth
Reading: Truth and Truthfulness
Lesson 6
The Power of Love
God’s love is the opposite of lust and self-centeredness. These studies trace His love toward us and then test whether that same love is genuinely flowing through our lives toward others.
Videos: GM11 Love’s Mighty Touch · GM12 Love’s Genuine Tests
Reading: The Power of Love
Lesson 7
Righteousness, No Compromise
Righteousness must be pursued. Small compromises weaken a life that is meant to reflect God’s standards, while faith in Christ gives the believer both a right standing and a new direction.
Videos: GM13 Pursuing Righteousness · GM14 Defining Righteousness
Reading: Righteousness, No Compromise
Lesson 8
Goodness and Contentment
Contentment grows as confidence in God’s goodness grows. Creation displays His good purpose, while suffering and evil press us to decide whether we will continue trusting His character.
Videos: GM15 Seven Proofs of God’s Goodness · GM16 God’s Goodness and Evil
Reading: Goodness and Contentment
Lesson 9
Fear God, Not Man
The fear of God is not panic but a reverence that takes His presence, authority, and truth seriously. As the fear of God deepens, the controlling fear of people loses its grip.
Videos: GM17 Understand the Fear of God · GM18 The Fear and Love of God
Reading: Fear of God, and the Fear of Man
Lesson 10
Waiting on God
Waiting on God is active trust rather than passive delay. It restrains self-reliance, purifies motives, and trains us to depend on God’s timing in plans, ministry, injustice, and personal desires.
Videos: GM19 Learning to Wait on God · GM20 Waiting on God for Ministry and Revenge
Reading: Waiting On God
