Lesson Summary
God’s holiness is the brilliant purity of His person and purposes. Scripture repeatedly associates everything belonging to God with holiness. Sin therefore cannot simply be overlooked. The gospel answers this problem by reconciling sinners to God through Christ and setting His people apart as holy. A growing understanding of God’s holiness calls believers to take sin seriously and pursue sanctification.
