Section 3 · Lesson 27 of 32

Training New Believers

The child stage describes a new believer’s spiritual needs rather than physical age. Like infants needing care, new believers need mature Christians who befriend them, explain foundational truths, and help them respond to everyday problems.

Lesson goal: Plan prompt, personal nurture that grounds new believers in faith and prepares them to care for others.

Key Teaching Points

  • Friendship and foundational biblical instruction belong together.
  • Leaders equip mature believers to provide nurture.
