Pray BFF#35             November 22, 2002

Dear Prayer Team,

Keep on praying!

We must not only pray, but we must pray again and again.
We must not get tired of praying.
We must be thoroughly in earnest, deeply concerned about the things for which we ask, for Jesus Christ made it very plain that the secret of prayer and its success lie in its urgency.
We must press our prayers upon God."
(E.M. Bounds, The Complete Works of E.M. Bounds on Prayer, P. 321.)

As we work through our goals for next year, we realize that God is taking BFF another step forward. This is not a casual step forward. There are tests involved. Among them is the requirement to pray more regularly, deeply and with focus.

We are being forced to ask: what do we really want God to accomplish? How much do we want them? How much are we willing to pray for God's work. What will it cost us?

We believe God is taking us from a more sheltered office to the front line where guns, bombs and all kinds of shouting can be heard (in a spiritual sense). We sense we need you more than ever to pray for us. And to continue praying for us.

Does Prayer make a Difference?

Does prayer make a difference? Sure does. For your encouragement, I will put one of the letters we received after we finished the revival series.

thank you so much for your mail and for the wonderful message (Revival series) that you sent.

i am using this opportunity to request that you should continue to send me
messages so that i can read for my spiritual upliftment and growth.

may god bless your ministry and help you to fulfill christ's mandate of and
desire of 'going into all the worl and preach the gospel...' as well as
reaching even '...the uttermost parts of the earth".

Thanks for your prayers!

Thanks to God!

Requests to God

Be strong, and let your heart take courage, All you who hope in the LORD. (Psalm 31:24).

Our hearts are so thankful that God is touching people's lives every day.

We are thankful for every prayer partner. As Moses needed support to keep his arms raised, we sense we need your prayer support more and more .

Paul has experienced God's help in writing the materials. Haggai is a good example. Almost finished!

Praise God for helping us complete the Revival series.

We are thankful that next years goals for BFF are coming into focus. There are some unknown aspects to pray through.

Continue to seek God for clarity and faith as we comprehend His goals for BFF in the coming year. Some are very challenging.

Keep praying for Pastor Stephen in India: translation of discipleship materials and the Lord's hand on them during political oppression.

BFF is going through a special time of testing.

Elizabeth is very sick and can hardly breathe. She was admitted to the hospital in Pensacola last night with pneumonia for at least 2-3 days. This week of sickness is making it tough on her studies.

May God deeply touch the hearts and minds of BFF's readers (average 200+ a day).

Completion of the work on two series: Parenting and Haggai.

Guidance for planning a trip south.
