Discovering the Source of Magic
Magic has intrigued people from around the world since ancient times. Some people deny the reality of magic. They treat the supernatural as impossible.
Most others, though, would either say that they can not be sure or would strongly affirm the world of magic. People pursue magic because they see themselves as small and helpless in a big world with greater forces controlling events behind the scenes. They innately know there is more to reality than the material universe, what they can see and touch. They desire to have part in those spiritual powers.
The Encarta Dictionary gives four definitions for magic.
|
|
Illusory Magic |
1. conjuring tricks and illusions that make apparently impossible things seem to happen, usually performed as entertainment |
Deep
|
3. a supposed supernatural power that makes impossible things happen, or that gives somebody control over the forces of nature. |
Our interest in these pages is not on illusory magic often used for entertainment, but on deep magic (the last two definitions). The
special forces and powers of the world are real and influence our lives. We have some questions about them.
What are these powers?
Are they good or bad?
How do they work?
Let's try to get a better understanding of these hidden powers behind the world's curtains. => Next in series:
