Lesson Summary
Knowing God’s goodness helps answer “Who am I?” and “Why am I here?” Genesis introduces creation repeatedly as good, while the Psalms repeatedly declare that the Lord Himself is good. The handout contrasts confidence rooted in self-esteem with confidence rooted in God-trust. Genesis 3 then shows Satan undermining faith by suggesting that God has withheld something better. Psalm 31:19, John 10:14, and Romans 8:28 call believers back to confidence in God’s good character and care.
