Lesson Summary
God’s purposes cannot finally be thwarted. His sovereignty encompasses history, human rulers, salvation, missions, prayer, suffering, and even evil that He temporarily permits without Himself becoming evil. The practical emphasis is not merely explaining sovereignty but learning, like Habakkuk and Jesus, to trust and delight in God’s will when circumstances are difficult.
