Lesson Summary
God’s wrath is His settled opposition to evil and His determination that injustice will not finally stand. His anger is neither impulsive nor unjust; it works consistently with His holiness, righteousness, patience, and mercy. God’s delay of judgment should not be mistaken for weakness or indifference but should lead people to repentance. For believers, Christ has borne the condemning wrath due to sin, while God still disciplines His children for their good.
