Lesson 2 of 16
The Purpose for Redemption
God’s purpose in redemption goes far beyond rescuing people from judgment or simply getting them to heaven. From the beginning, He desired a people who would know Him, love Him, enjoy His presence, and work with Him. The Old and New Covenants reveal this purpose step by step. God draws His people near, calls them His own, teaches them His ways, and prepares them for a deeper fellowship made possible through Christ. Redemption restores the partnership sin disrupted: God with His people, and His people joyfully sharing in the good work He designed for them on earth and in eternity.
