The Scheme of Redemption
Redemption unfolds within a struggle over rightful rule. God created humanity to live under His kingship and exercise delegated authority, but Adam’s rebellion brought people under the dominion of sin and Satan. Israel’s history of kings reveals both humanity’s longing for righteous rule and the repeated failure of sinful rulers. Jesus enters this story as the faithful Man and true King. He refuses Satan’s shortcut, obeys the Father even to death, and regains what Adam lost. Christ is both Lamb and Lion—the sacrificial Redeemer who gives His life and the victorious King who rules now and will bring His kingdom to completion.
