The Design of Redemption
Redemption was not God’s emergency response to a plan gone wrong. Scripture presents it as a design established before the foundation of the world and gradually unveiled through promises and prophecy. Each prophetic detail is like another marker pointing forward to Christ—His birth, suffering, death, resurrection, and rule. Taken together, these promises show the unity and intentionality of God’s work across history. Human wisdom and effort cannot accomplish redemption; God Himself planned and provided it. The more clearly we see this design, the more deeply we can appreciate Christ as God’s promised gift and confidently confess that Jesus is Lord.
