Summary of Redemptive Truths
The redemptive message does not suddenly appear at the cross. It develops throughout biblical history and steadily points toward Christ. Creation themes, promises to Abraham, kingship, priesthood, sacrifice, prophecy, and many other threads prepare us to understand who Jesus is and why He died. Biblical theology helps us follow those themes as God reveals them through time. The cross is therefore neither an accident nor an isolated doctrine; it is the culmination of God’s predetermined plan. When we grasp sin, guilt, grace, sacrifice, faith, and Christ’s fulfillment together, the gospel becomes clearer—and we are better equipped both to trust it and proclaim it.
