The Bridegroom–Bride picture emphasizes delight, exclusiveness, and covenant devotion. Christ loves His people, and the church belongs to Him as a bride belongs to her bridegroom.
That relationship calls for purity and focused love. Because we belong to Christ, we put away competing loyalties and learn to live in expectation of His return.
The same truths deepen our earthly commitments. Faithfulness, affection, purity, and joyful service become practical ways we show that love is more than emotion—it is a loyal commitment to another person.
