Grasping the Vision
A spiritual vision begins with what God has revealed in Scripture. Teachers should ask whether God’s purposes shape their expectations and whether they trust Him to bring those purposes to fruition.

Growth has common features, but each believer’s calling and situation are unique. Like a gardener, a mentor identifies present needs, nurtures the appropriate stage, and anticipates fruit without trying to create spiritual life or force maturity.
Key Teaching Points
- Scripture shapes spiritual vision and goals.
- Assess the learner’s present stage before choosing training.
- Common growth patterns allow distinct callings and expressions of service.
- Teachers nurture God-given life and trust Him for fruitful growth.
