Providing a Solution for Insecurity [OA02_09] shows four ways God can become our security, our Rock of trust.

Providing a Solution for InsecurityOvercome Anxiety: Finding Peace, Discovering God

We need to turn our insecurity to security. In order to gain the security that we were designed to have, we need to trust in the one who is all powerful and genuinely cares for us. Only God fits that description.

1) God is powerful (Job 40:1-2)

"Then Job answered the LORD, and said, "I know that Thou canst do all things, And that no purpose of Thine can be thwarted."

God is able. He has all power. He can do what He wishes. All power is His. Some would state this is a shared power with some other being or purpose. All-powerful by definition means He can do all that He wishes.

2) God is in control (Daniel 7:13-14)

"And to Him was given dominion, Glory and a kingdom, That all the peoples, nations, and men of every language Might serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion Which will not pass away; And His kingdom is one which will not be." (Daniel 1:14)

God is not only powerful but is in full control of things. He has authority (Mark 9:1) over all things including evil. Sickness and death are all enclosed in His purposes. He exercises His will on earth from heaven.

3) God of peace (Romans 16:20)

"And the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you." (Romans 16:20).

God is powerful but His design is to bring eternal peace and harmony. It is possible perhaps that He would allow perpetual opposition, but He is a God of peace. Things are working toward a beautiful resolve.

4) God cares for you (1 Peter 5:7)

"Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you." (1 Peter 5:6-7).

God ... cares for you. What a wonderful statement! What promise is there that all of God's mighty purposes would be brought to your special blessing? Only that He chose to so bless us and brought us to be His child through faith in Christ.
