The Power to Change

By God's grace, we have the power to change.

How can we get our still waters flowing? Here are 4 F.L.O.W. suggestions.

"But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him
shall never thirst;
but the water that I shall give him
shall become in him a well of water
springing up to eternal life." (John 4:14)

The abundant flow of grace stems from God Himself.

The Power to Change

We suggest four steps to start and maintain THE FLOW.

Our Purpose

Where are we going?

What equipping do God's servant leaders need in order to carry out God's will? In many cases, we need to think specifically for Sunday School teachers, cell leaders, pastors, etc.

Our training must focus on equipping leaders, but it will start early on by discipling them to have a love for God, His Word and others.

Our Motivation

Why are we doing this?

God's goodness and mercy are the two great expressions of His love. THE FLOW is established by receiving God's love and passing it on to others. We can best carry this love out by properly equipping God's children so they can do the good works God has given them to do (Ephesians 2:10).

Our Team Spirit

With whom are we doing it?

We must do away with our individualism. We live for the success of each other. Their success is our victory. Most of the doctrinal, methodological and historical differences can be completely set aside. As we focus on serving Christ, the All-wise Leader, we will supply us with grace to deal with our differences.

Our Resources

How are we going to do it?

Many churches are poor in both trained man-power and financial resources. This didn't hold back the early church, and shouldn't hold us back either. God will know how to work out a plan for us if we would just start by repentance. We need to learn how to learn from Him by extra prayer, obedience and fasting.

"... Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone,
in whom the whole building,
being fitted together into a holy temple in the Lord
in whom you also are being built together
into a dwelling of God in the Spirit." (Ephesians 2:20-22)

There are many details but finding those out is part of finding God Himself. Step by step He leads the whole and the individual parts. Remember it is not our flow. We are just fitting into the way He wants to do things. Praise God for involving us in His great and glorious FLOW!
