The Life Core · Section 2

11. A Growing Faith

Faith grows as believers repeatedly hear God’s truth, trust His character, and obey Him in real situations.

Paul J. Bucknell

Faith is living confidence in God, not merely agreement with religious statements. It becomes stronger through tested obedience. Each challenge gives the believer another opportunity to discover that God is faithful.

Training must therefore connect truth with life. A lesson becomes formative when people understand what God says, identify the response He requires, and act upon it.

Growing faith also learns from testimony and community. Mature believers strengthen others by sharing how God met them, corrected them, and carried them through difficulty.

Core Teaching

  • Faith matures through tested trust and obedience.
  • Teaching should lead to a concrete response.
  • Testimony helps younger believers recognize God’s faithfulness.

Reflect and Apply

  1. Where is your faith presently being tested?
  2. What truth needs to become a specific act of obedience?
  3. Whose testimony has strengthened your confidence in God?
