Faith provides the power to run in spite of all the obstacles.

Some of you might be so desperate for any kind of help because of the great pain you have had or are now suffering. You have tried all sorts of ways to find a cure, often at great costs and embarrassment. Some of you see counselors and take medicines to control various hormones. These tend to cover up the problem rather than really solving it. If these methods solved your problems, then you probably would not be reading this!

Defeat brings despair. Despair brings depression. Depression zaps energy and leaves one high and dry. On the other hand, truth brings understanding and understanding brings excitement and confidence. This confidence is faith. The Christian faith is not built on 'blind faith' (false understandings) but the truth and principles that God has built into the world.

"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for,
the conviction of things not seen."
Hebrews 11:1,
NASB

Our faith is shaped by our understanding. If we do not have a proper understanding, then our faith will be in vain. God's Word is proven faithful over the thousands of years and in literally millions of lives including mine. God is alive and wants you to join many others in trusting Him. Trust will start by learning His ways and trusting Him, step by step. 1 John 5:1,4 says,

"1 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God;
and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him.
4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world;
and this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith.

Truth, Understanding and Confidence

Faith does not stop with a relation with God but goes on and becomes the means we are empowered to live as God's loyal friend.

Faith enables us to live above sin through Christ's power.

Faith in God's arrangement of caring for our sins through Jesus Christ is the first great step we must take.

Faith releases us from sin through Christ's death on the cross.
