View Goal

Virtues: Teachable, eager to learn, discerning

Teachings: Christ, discipleship, the nature of truth

Skills: Devotions, abiding, discerning false teaching

The Teacher–Disciple relationship reminds us that a Christian is a lifelong learner. We never outgrow our need for Christ’s wisdom, His Word, and His correction.

A true disciple approaches God’s truth with eagerness and applies what is learned. Learning is not merely collecting information; it is allowing truth to reshape attitudes, choices, and habits.

Because we also teach through our words and lives—as parents, friends, and leaders—we must remain teachable ourselves. The better we learn from Christ, the more faithfully we can help others follow Him.
