The Cornerstone–Stones picture teaches that God has a design for each believer, but that design is never isolated from His design for the rest of His people.
Christ is the Cornerstone who gives the whole building its alignment. We understand ourselves rightly only as we remain aligned with Him and accept how He has shaped and gifted us.
This produces cooperation rather than competition. Living stones value one another, work together, and recognize that spiritual maturity is never simply “God and me,” but life together in Christ’s church.
