17. The Mature—Stage 3

Mature believers increasingly carry responsibility for the growth, protection, and equipping of others.

Spiritual maturity is not independence from the body of Christ. It is a growing capacity to love, guide, sacrifice, and reproduce. Mature believers become spiritual parents who use their experience for the good of others.

They still need correction and growth, but their focus expands. They recognize needs, initiate care, guard truth, develop leaders, and help younger believers advance.

A church should not measure maturity only by years or knowledge. The mature stage becomes visible through stable character, wise service, and a willingness to invest deeply in people.
