Questions and Study Projects on the Goodness of God

Assured that all our Lord’s requests
and plans are good.

Purpose: Study questions and projects enable us to rethink through all that we have been learning about the goodness of God and apply this knowledge to our lives.

Study Questions & Projects

  1. In what situation is it hardest for you to trust that God has your best interests in mind?

  2. List one thing from this lesson that helped you most. Why?

  3. Meditate on God’s reflective statements in Genesis 1 stating, “God saw that it was good.” What does good mean?

  4. Have you ever thought of your life as a means by which God brings His goodness into the world? Explain.

  5. From what motivation do you serve others? From guilt, pressure or by His abounding goodness?

  6. Do you tend to be grumpy or nit picky? In what specific areas? Repent and begin to seek a picture of how God’s goodness is to impact your perspective.

  7. Project: Take ten days and each day refresh your life with ten verses that speak about God’s goodness. (Search ‘goodness’ or ‘good’ in concordance to find such verses or use the list from the NASB.)

  8. Project: For the next several weeks, each day pray and think about God’s goodness. Seek God what good you might do to bring in more of His goodness into the world. Try to do at least one good deed each day to glorify Him and help others.

This study on God's goodness ends here, you can go back to other parts of this study (see index below), refer to related reading from this website below or continue on with this series on Knowing God. (Still in development so no link yet!)
