Identifying The Two Great Forces
If we are going to protect ourselves from danger, then we need to know what are the possible sources of the greater power(s) out there. The holy scriptures give us a good clear picture of the major existing powers. Some might object to using the Bible but this is the speciality of the Book.
These ancient and reliable scriptures thoroughly and clearly address this area of deep magic and occult powers. Note below some special scenes from these pages.
Supernatural powers throughout several millennia are referred to again and again.
Wondrous powers were used to accomplish numerous things that this world never before has seen.
People are filled with powers from beyond, for good or bad.
Many have experienced confrontations with a dark satanic power.
Although some use the terms black magic and white magic to mention these two powers, the scriptures speak of the beings behind these forces. Only two greater powers are introduced.
(1) The Creator, the eternal God, who made both light and darkness.
(2) Satan, an angel who defied God and was cast away from His presence.
Each of these super powers have distributed their powers to different ones. For example, we would say that good angels are empowered by God while bad angels (demons) depend on Satan's power. Look at the two charts below for even a clearer picture.

God's kingdom is founded upon truth, reality and clarity. God spoke and the whole world was made. He needed no special incantation. He did not need to surreptitiously steal powers from others to exercise His powers. He simply spoke and the heavens and earth magically came into being and is sustained. This material world consists of both space and the world (earth). This creation is the reality we are so familiar with. Evidence of God's magic is all around us. Many would attempt to deny it, but all of creation including man depends on His spoken word at all times. This is seen in the way they eat His plants and breathe His air. The world is not God but exists because of His purpose and delight. |
Satan's domain operates from lies, false reality and confusion. He secretly spoke. His only ability to gain special powers was to steal them from man. He secretly persuaded Adam and Eve to listen to him. Once they listened to him for secret knowledge, the evil one stole the powers God had given to them to rule over the earth. Satan, the devil, lied. He deceived. The evil one lies to get power and deceives to keep it. A lie is false reality. It is not true. This is the phony and superficial world of darkness. It only exists in the perception of man. Man regularly lives as if these lies are true. Satan's domain is under hiding and is associated with darkness. |

Perhaps the stream coming out of the middle of the garden best portrays the ample joy and delight that God brought forth into the world. He continues to bring forth truth, love and joy from the living waters of Christ Jesus. |
Perhaps the best picture to portray the ugliness and hate of living counter to God's ways is in Barabbas. The innocent and kind Jesus Christ was cruelly murdered instead of Barabbas., the convicted murderer. |
God so desired to bring mankind back over to His kingdom of Light that He sacrificed His own Son, Jesus, to die on the cross. He saw man's sad estate and provided a way to bring him out of the power of the evil one into His kingdom as a beloved son.
Christ Jesus also took on flesh and blood so that "through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is the devil." (Hebrews 2:14)
