- What is Paul speaking about in the passage before this one? (Look at 6:10-17.)
- How is this passage connected to the former? Why so?
- When does Ephesians 6:18 say we are to pray? What does this practically mean?
- What two words describe how we are to pray (Ephesians 6:18)? What is the difference between them?
- What does it mean to ‘pray in the Spirit’ (Ephesians 6:18)? Is it ‘spirit’ or ‘Spirit’?
- What are we told to do in the end of Ephesians 6:18? What does this mean? Why is it important?
- Is it wrong to pray for oneself? What does Paul ask us to do for him in Ephesians 6:19? What this wrong or right?

Discussion Questions on Prayer
- Prayer is a Christian discipline. There are set times of prayer and also ‘a praying attitude.’ What set times of prayer do you have individually and with others through the week? How can you improve this?
- Regarding the praying spirit mentioned above, describe how one can pray through the day as one sees the different needs around him. Give some practical examples.
- Prayer requests are special. What should you do if you hear rumors going around? How is this different from prayer requests?
- From the frequency with which you pray and the passion and kind of prayers that you bring before God, evaluate what you really believe about prayer. (For example, if I do not pray every day, I really believe that pray is not necessary for each day. If I really did believe it was crucial, then I would pray each day.
