The History
Advanced Discipleship Training (ADT) is a high level discipleship program that should be part of each church's overall training program. There is no one more fit for full time ministry than those who like Christ are persistent in their trust upon God. As each church catches this vision for training their own pastors, missionaries and other ministry leaders, the Great Commission will be completed.
God in Christ oversees the church’s training program. ADT is a tool to help churches implement effective leadership training. Through specialized programs, materials, consulting and prayers ADT helps churches fulfill God’s purpose in them.
The original ADT concept started back in 1998 when I took three months off from pastoring a Chinese church in the States to prayerfully work on a sabbatical project. My heart's burden was (and is) to bring revival to the church worldwide. But something greater was put on my heart. I realized that unless we properly train leaders, revival will not have its full and desired effect. Should we be satisfied with an apple tree that though it has many blossoms only has two or three apples? Certainly not!
As I studied the world's revival movements, I discovered that though the church was awakened and able to do much more, it often fell far short of its potential because of faulty training concepts. These ideas are now etched into our thinking through the secular educational system. Only God can remove them.
If we could just have a way to train leaders more effectively, we could reap the whole harvest! At the time of my sabbatical these concepts were only tiny seeds nor fully understood, but they were planted in God's hands through prayer. He has now caused me to return to this project with full faith that this is part of His great plan. He is readying His people for a last days revival. We are striving to work along with the Spirit as much as possible. New avenues of media are being created during this computer age which have allowed us to accomplish much more with very little investment.
We are anticipating the Spirit's great outbreak among His people. We are readying ourselves and God's people to fully work along with Him to God's glory.
