Overcome Anxiety: Finding Peace, Discovering GodSigns of Worry

Lets look for signs of worry. What do you see?

These are the most superficial kinds of worry that we run up against. For example, we are running behind time and worrying about making an appointment. As a result we kick the dog, almost hit a car, and look a bit desperate when we arrive at our appointment!

• Irritation

Irritation means that we are easily bothered by the things occurring around us. When a person is worried that their plans are not going as hoped, they show their irritation to others.

• Impatience

Impatience is the inability to calmly wait. Impatient people pretend control of circumstances that they are worried about. Others are often hurt by these mean and manipulative persons.

• Insomnia

Insomnia means people cannot sleep properly. Insomnia can be caused by different problems but much of the time it is because their minds are worried and unsettled.

• Irresponsibility

Irresponsibility due to worry becomes an escape from the stresses people face. They leave positions, partners and often adopt addictive habits.

• Illness

People who worry a lot have higher rates of cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure, heartaches, peptic ulcers, irritable bowel disease, allergies, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, depression and many others. Our bodies were not designed to take the constant pressure of stress.

• Incapacitation

Incapacitation due to anxiety can result in people who cannot rightly carry on with normal life. Depression is serious in these cases.

If we put off solving our anxieties, worse symptoms will develop.
When our worries overload our system, we can easily let ourselves drift into a

"I give up mode."

Most people will find ways of moderating this stress. The best solution, however, is not to wait for some situation that we can't handle, but to root our worries out completely.

Problems from worry are even worse than this! Spiritual problems also develop.
