Comparing PeaceOvercome Anxiety: Finding Peace, Discovering God

Jesus says in John 14:27,

"Peace I leave with you;
My peace I give to you;
not as the world gives, do I give to you.
Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful."

WORLD'S PEACE GOD'S PEACE
1. Dependent on feelings
1. Dependent on trust
2. Must be seen
2. No need to be seen
3. Does not allow for troubles
3. Allows for troubles
4. Feels must manage situation
4. Need not manage situation
5. Tries to control
5. Trusts God to control
6. Ultimately fails 6. Always endures
Do you want a peace that fails you just when you need it the most? Or do you desire God's peace that keeps you calm in the most threatening situations?

The world's peace deceives people to think that life is manageable. If nothing happens to this belief, they will never get to meet God before Judgment Day. They will not know of God’s grace and peace.
